Alright everyone, it’s that time of year again. Swim Test time.

Here are the details:
When: Aug 17 & 18
Where: Clarksville Country Club Pool
334 Fairway Dr Clarksville, TN 37043
Time: We’ll get people going around 7pm. If you can, try to be there around 6:45.

The club has been gracious enough to allow us to use their facilities as we are the first group to ever do so. The pool is both deeper and longer than the pool we used last year so every part of the test will be doable this go around.

For those who don’t know, this test will not only allow you to get in the water as a rescue swimmer with the department, but it will also determine if you will further your swift water training i.e. attending SW1 or SW2. So you MUST pass the swim test to be sent to either of those trainings. If you don’t pass this go around, there will be more test dates in August. If y’all have any other questions, feel fee to reach out to myself or Captain Parks. Also keep in mind that the swim test is a yearly requirement for the department, the special operations team, and TEMA in order for us to reach our ultimate goal of becoming a deployable team.
